The Spiky Golden Barrel Cactus

The Golden Barrel Cactus is protected by spikes

you wouldn’t want to touch it

or you would get a fright.

It may be small, but gloves are necessary

otherwise you will be sore.

You may see it in the distance from its yellow glow, 

it's almost as beautiful as the sunshine that flows.

It’s as bright as the sun and may need sunglasses to see.

But golly gee, it’s a beauty to me.
