The Spotted Handfish

In the deep ocean of south-eastern Australia,

The ugliest fish in the sea.

The spotted Handfish, such a tiny thing,

Camouflaging in its environment, it just wants to be free.

Eating worms and crustaceans, it roams in the sand, 

Using its large hands to move all around.

With its big spotted body, like a pear so grand, 

Strange little fish as it moves across the ground.

Help save this strange creature,

Keep our seas clean.

Stop poaching for pets,

Cause that’s really mean.

The Spotted handfish,

that lives on the sand.

Let’s pick up our rubbish,

For its future lies in our hands.
