territory invaded- throaty vocals advertise. 

‘fluffy and adorable’, 

venerable yet ‘vulnerable',

Hard to spot yet we can all envision her demise. 

 

Denned within the sheltered hollows of a native relic

 -Canobolas’ Eucalypt- ‘endangered’ and endemic.

From a mega-annum of memory

Yet now it’s sole trajectory- it’s purely academic. 

 

Blossoming Giles mintbush flaunts in ‘pretty’ mauve and white 

Yet dark and grave her future as she’s ‘critical’ despite.

On old-man, young-man crests- 

The Strong and delicate coalesce,

Yet as time rolls by her single space will make a nice campsite. 

 

For our wants and nonchalance under sprinklings at twilight 

Their havens turn to hellholes- leaving inklings and ichnites.

Lost wonderous rarity and soulful singularity,

Aussie peculiarity, true-blue spectacularity. 

Forever and eternity to seek them on a ‘nice’ website.
