The toy soldier

Old, rusted, abandoned,
still straight up I stand.
On a window ledge, I was stranded,
dust collecting, covered in sand.
I used to be loved once,
a toy soldier, sparkled and shined,
new and squeaky, fight on front.
O, how love was timed
