The Tree

The chatter and laughter resounded through the leaves
Youngsters climbing as they shout
While down lower
others give encouragement as they heave
But others can’t do as well so they complain and pout
The scent of pollen wafts through the air as it scatters
Smooth frigid branches of the tree colden hands
Insects crawl around
their tiny little feet patters
Butterflies fly around on flowers they land
The warm glow of the sun seeps through the verdure
Saffron coloured flowers bloom and are plucked
While some scared to touch
unsure
Those who took flowers were cupped
Students laugh and play
Insects fly and crawl around
Flowers bloom but fray
The limbs of the tree and branches bound
The tree is always there to stand and stay
