The birds tweet,
In the lovely tree retreat.
The wind blows between the leaves,
Up here everyone believes.
Down in the shade of the gum,
In the summer sun all the animals will come.
Koala’s sit perched in the branches,
If you get too close they will give you scratches.

At the top of the tree there is room for birds 1,2,3
Up here the world is yours to see.
Down below the animals sing,
“Let us fly with your wings!”
There is lots noise around the tree,
Is it crazy but everything sounds beautiful you have to agree.

Now when the sun goes down,
The new birds come to town,
The owls prowl and screech,
We have all had our turn so unleash.
There are new animals hanging for the twigs,
Everyone has their own types of jigs.

As the morning sun rises,
The tree has some time and improvises.
As the birds wake up,
They come to the tree and say “sup”
There goes the quietness,
As the birds come fireless.

This is the life of old gum,
Let's now see what old gum becomes.
