I sit on our blue bench watching the majestic tree sway from side to side. As the tree sways a small little leaf drifts by.
I pick up the leaf and stare, the small grooves rubbing against my fingers.
I have the urge to smell it but the leaf doesn't smell like anything. As I move it away from my face I can see the leaf is in the shape of the tree right in front of me.
I look up at the tree branch, and I see a pile of twigs in a bunch.
I look more closely and spot a little nest. There are no birds in the nest but it makes me happy. The tree outside my house makes me happy.
