The Walking Wounded

This is my trophy
Isn’t it radical
I earned it at rugby
For breaking my shoulder clavicle
I was playing footy
The time quickly passed
And next thing you know
I had a mouthful of grass
Now I’m in the hospital
With my bone popping out
No more rugby this year without a doubt
Four weeks gone
Four weeks to go
But still the chances of me playing were very low
Now my team is in the semis
One week left
If my team wins this game I can play for the rest
My team won the semis
We ended with gold
And that is how I have the trophy I hold.
