Tides wash onto the sandy shores,

Crawling over the coastline.

Serene water sparkles in the sun,

But now, it’s all gone.

The water levels rise,

And the temperature skyrockets.

Waves loom over our towns

Causing a sea of troubles.

Citizens hurry to higher ground,

Masks of fear stuck on their faces.

The water chases after them,

Snatching their lives out of their hands.

Look at the destruction we’ve caused,

Look at the mess we’ve made.

Will our oceans ever return,

To the way they used to be?
