As the golden brown leaves fell to the ground

They made the softest, tiniest sound.

The gentle breeze swirled around my head,

The next tree’s bark was the colour of lead.

As I heard the birds singing,

It left the forest ringing.

The ground slowly started to turn to grass

The dew drops on the leaves looked like glass.

I walked towards to sound of a lake

It whispered to me, I was finally awake.

The lake was a light sky blue,

Have you seen a lake like this too?

The sound of nature puts me at ease,

I want more time out here, please?

As I look around to where I am now

The towering oaks seem to bow.

This is nature through and through

Have you seen all the colours too?

I love it so much out here

And to us all it is very dear.
