Tiny Frog

I started as a tadpole, a tiny tiny dot
Living in a small pond, mother thought me odd.
Smaller than my siblings, we are nursery frogs!
But as I got older, I still stayed small.
Making me a tiny frog!
Hearing land call
I stepped out of my pond, into my rainforest home.
Chose a tree
close to the water
the perfect one for me.
And feeling the connection between animal and tree
Hopping onto mossy bark and climbing high and tall
For a friendship to embark
And friendship is magic, even with a tree
But climate change is disordering me.
My rainforest home, my tree for a friend
All are in strife! Will this ever end?
Six of my froggy cousins have now become extinct
but I think that there is hope…
Because of you.
