Droplets splatter about,
Caressing the rough trunk before me.
Pellucid water drips around;
But I am dry – I am sheltered
Beneath my Tranquil Tree.

The sun gazes at the world below
I close my eyes and breathe
Deeply against my steadfast tree
While dancing shadows cover me
Beneath my Tranquil Tree.

When seeking guidance -
Help, a friend from above -
I sit and lay my dizzy head
On the whispering boughs
Of my Tranquil Tree

The world rushes by
A whirling blur of meaningless colour
As life passes on.
But beneath my Tranquil Tree
All is serene for me.
