Treble clef,
As cold as frosted glass.
You glimmer, shimmer,
Innocently hanging around my neck.
Glistening like ripples in sunlit water,
A radiating sunshine jewel sits
In your pearly silver heart.
Your lilting melodious voice,
Sings of memories with me.
Scales of perseverance in piano eisteddfods,
Arias of frustration and tears on failure,
Trills of triumph on success.
You sit in your ruby velvet case,
Reflecting these memories,
As my special musical talisman.
