Tree drops

Water falls from the sky
Covering all nature in its way
The tree's leaves whimper
being pummelled by rain

The water wears off
leaving only drops behind
They slide smoothly
off the beaten leaves

The trees do enjoy
the sound of rain
But the leaves' only thought
is of despair
