Lying there lifeless, lonely and abandoned.

Remembering when it was a tall, bright and happy tree.

Always dancing in the breeze and showered in sunlight.

The pure dark, grey sky

Now glared down on nothing

This has been the same for fifteen years

Abandoned, lifeless and lonely.

As the breeze picked up it died down almost immediately

If only the guys in the orange vests never came.

The pain, the sadness the stumps felt

Nothing will ever be the same.

Abandoned, lifeless and lonely

The stumps felt.

Will things be happy again?
