Coarse, hard, magnificent diverse

Standing in the breeze

Beautiful leaves, luxurious and green

Interweave like bees

Bringing homes together

Puts you to your knees

Resilient as a soldier

Tenacious trees

Chainsaws bulldozers scary men

Burning, smoke, horrid dreams

But they will never back down

They all in union scream

Droughts, floods, typhoons

They will persist as one

Seasons change, freezing cold

They will stand there, never done

As others die around them

They are the last alive

Enduring  torture as they grow

And yet they still survive
