True Trees

Its shadow towering over me I feel so small.
The tree is as tall as a skyscraper
to me
leaves falling onto the forest floor
roots as brown as dirt reaching into earth's core.
Digging deep down.
The wind blows in the distance
calling my name.
Leaves shedding in winter, flowering in spring and drying in summer.
Bees buzz around the tree in spring and summer.
Snow falls in winter on the tree like a soft white and silky blanket.
Then comes Christmas with the tree in the house getting decorated.
The tree stands strong waiting for it's next life
