Under The Groove Lights

My ticket to a better time,
To take my mind off things
It brought me him
And he bought me a new experience
He stood by watching
He was there through the good
We danced and sung
Screamed and laughed
Smiling under the groove lights,
That day the sun smiled back at me
But when it's all over will he still be there?
Our feet ached and our heads pounded
We laid down to unwind and rest
