Waterfalls

Mackenzie falls was set as our destination,
Off we went to go someplace as a vacation.
We travelled in a car fit with six people,
Made many stops, of course to put in diesel.
My mum was the miracle who chose this wonderful place,
This place which had incredible sights and full of grace.
I was expecting to see nothing but a standard waterfall,
But what we saw, was the prettiest of all.
I saw water pouring from the rocky ledge into the pool below,
People calmly gazing and watching the water flow.
I heard the cool gushing water as it hits the ground,
Birds chirping happily as they fly round and round.
I smelt from afar the fresh and natural water,
The closer I get, I feel the scent getting stronger.
The taste of the cool water mist splashing against my tongue,
How enlightening it felt as if I were a year young.
I feel the soft breeze brushing across my face,
A feeling which I simply couldn’t erase
We all left feeling joyful and our faces smiling,
We had a great time and now it was back to driving.
