Western swamp tortoise

They’re small and cute

But at the moment they’re mute

No one understands

Because all the people want is land.

Money, money, money.

House, house, house.

Oh, why has it come to this?

Often times it makes me sad

That the world has become this bad.

But no one cares

And all I feel is despair.

On the west side of Australia

Is where they lay

Little do they know they’re prey.

Innocent and curious

As their little smiles show.

With their squarish shell

They’re the most endangered mammals

It has to change before a forever farewell.
