What am I?

I can be found almost anywhere,

I am famous all over the world.

Paleontologists carve me everyday,

my well-known version of myself is the dinosaur.

Everyone seeks me and adores it;

It's my outstanding sculpture of me,

everyone researches me because of my fame; 

I have been here for millions and millions of years.

Sometimes I look like a rock,

but not an average rock.

My friends are Amber, Ammonites and Brachiopods.

It takes me about 10,000 years to form. 

I am one of the longest-living rocks.

But I am fragile;

don't touch me.

But you can find me in museums.
