What I Want

An object can mean anything someone desires it be
And what I desire for this object, is what I want it to mean.
Good moods make me remember her happy life
The life that’s been lived, to the stars above
Playing all day, dancing under the sky
Or havin’ a swim, and run, run, run!
But then sadness hits
The sadness of loss and feeling inside,
One cannot simply hide in life.
A friend I had, who was always there
Always, I say, until the day
When she left
I was at school
When she died
Under the grand old tree
Her happy place, in the sun
Went to sleep with
Her collar now lies forever more
Forever more, her collar lies empty.
This is what my object means to me
