The lid opened and awakened me,
A blinding light launched into my eyes,
I scramble up the chest of my beholder,
My arms latch and intertwine around her neck

She swung me to the front of her,
I could see grass for the first time,
The wind chilled down my arms,
My heart stayed warm as it was pressed against her

She split my heart in half like a twig,
She pulled out her other love,
I felt used and betrayed,
I will never look at her the same way again

She tried to close me up again but I refused,
The tension began to build up and then I gave in,
She split me in two,
My life was almost up

She took me home and that was it,
I felt my arms un-latch and unravel,
Everything began to get darker,
Then I heard a bang, the lid had closed on me forever
