Up above the highest shelf,
imprisoned in its glass case,
is a special thing beyond compare.
It whispers “Swish! Go the waves as you head towards the water.”

I close my eyes, sit on my bed
taking a deep breath.
Memories start rushing back as the room disappears from around me.
“Swish! Go the waves as I head towards the water.”

I feel warm sand between my toes,
I see foam froth and bubble.
I smell the afternoon air as it flows through me.
“Swish! Go the waves as I sneak towards the water.”

I peer across the calm blue ocean
and wave to the rickety wood floating across the water with its flag of blood.
I sit down and stare at the crimson sunset not a worry in the world.
“Swish! Go the waves as I lay in the water.”

In the waves floating away, now free from its glass case,
still special beyond compare
It whispers “Hope we meet again soon,”
and swish! Go the waves as I say goodbye to my boat free from its bottle.
