You are who I hold close,
When the rain splatters against the roof.
And the ground shakes when the thunder hits.
You are the one who is there for me,
When I have had a bad day.
Or I need someone to talk to.

When you fall asleep on my lap,
Or when you come into my room to wake me up,
You light a smile upon my face.
When you are always distracted by that tail you just have to chase.
