Roaming amongst rows of cookie-cutter neighbourhoods,
There is a wild land;
Living and breathing a calm rebellion
Defiant, unchained.

With each rising step,
Years of societal melding, of shape, posture and form are
Loosed in sudden savage splendour.

With each rising step,
The ocean of onerous obligation is dammed,
Drowning out the irksome past.

With each rising step,
The picketed white prison walls are
Smashed and shattered,
Absolute freedom the escapee.

Roaming amongst rows of cookie-cutter neighbourhoods,
There is a wild land;
Ever defiant, ever free.
Ever saving.
