Wolves

The trees whisper to you
Stretch out their long, gnarled branches
The forest floor strewn with a kaleidoscope of leaves 
The shadows darker than the darkest night
A canopy of leaves stretches out over the  forest
The wolves watch, wait, listen
The wolves that stalk your mind and breathe fear into your life
The wolves that are your enemies
The wolves that hurt you
The wolves that bring you down
A treacherous journey of love and hate
You will face many wolves
They will scare you
They will be you
Don't stand cowering in shadows of doubt
If you sit and watch life go by
You will never experience the wolves
But you will never experience life
