The Sea Sponge

Body, perforated
as portal:
you are holy.
Let in the drink,
the sting.Eat
and breathe an ocean.
Be swept
as skeleton, strong
enough to survive.
The wave carries
you as tide bleaches
colour from being.
Give away
internal,
the nerve.
Spill as
limestone
into rock pool.
Gather in a glassy
silica gown
that we wash clean.
Succumb into comb
as ghost, as saline
glow. And soak.
