My Birthday Gift

A gift of happiness
that has been expressed on an elegant bracelet,
silky and smooth like the parts of my blanket.
Love, happiness and friendship has been
now expressed indirectly ever since I turned 12
reminds me of how much my parents love me
and they will always be there even in my hardest times.
I treasure it like nothing else I have.
A picture of inspiration,
telling me to go ahead
and never look back.
Whenever I feel blue, it will be there
shining like the stars
reminding me of the moments
I enjoyed the most,
reminding me that I am not alone.
This seems to be the greatest gift of all.
