Seal

Small purple loose ends of wool
blow In the morning breeze,
black beads glisten in the sun
The tiny seal
knitted by aunty
softly wobbles as the wind picks up
Every time I stop
to look over, it brings me joy
I would be crushed if it were to be destroyed
the memories it holds in its small handmade body
all the secrets it keeps within
The small holes it has gained over time
the flipper it has lost
It slowly falls
like a leaf tumbling from a tree
Secrets start to escape
I pick it up and lay it on a shelf
It rests back in its spot
