Natural Lidos
The water gleams
I paddle through the luxurious blue
I sigh, my head reaching the surface
The water trickles down the rocks naturally
I watch as the leaves race quickly, slowly, beautifully, naturally
To think I could’ve been here all day, every second of every day
But I wasn't; I was at home on my phone, wasting time, wasting life
Yet now I'm here, enjoying this moment, breathing in the salty air, feeling the silky seaweed
I am at peace with the world, myself, and most importantly, the water
I step out—it feels dangerous once I'm out
The coldness grabs me; my teeth jitter
The sun hides under blankets of clouds
I want to hide under a blanket—a blanket of sun
Sweet gold sun,
My wish comes true
The sun swims through my skin
I give the sun a big cold watery hug back
It sighs in relief, sick of being so…
