Rozanna Lilley

Rozanna Lilley is a poet and essayist. Her essays have appeared in Southerly, Mascara Literary Review, Westerly and Best Australian Essays (2013 and 2014). Her poems have been widely published, including in Cordite, Rabbit, Australian Poetry, Westerly, Stilts and national newspapers, as well as being anthologised, most notably in Best Australian Poems 2015 and Best of Australian Poems 2023. Her hybrid prose-poetry memoir ‘Do Oysters Get Bored? A Curious Life’ (UWA Publishing, 2018) was shortlisted for Australia’s National Biography Award in 2019. The judges commented that it is a “finely observed reflection on the complexities of family relationships” written “with tenderness and humour”. In 2022, Rose was shortlisted for the Red Room Poetry Fellowship. Her first stand-alone poetry book, ‘The Lady in the Bottle’ (London: Eyewear), which revisits the 1960s TV series I Dream of Jeannie, was published in 2023.
