Created by Red Room Poetry, New Shoots celebrates and cultivates poems inspired by plants and place to deepen cultural connections with nature.
Stemming from the success of New Shoots NSW, we partnered with Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria and Australian Poetry to grow a new garden of poems. Red Room Poetry commissioned 10 Victorian poets to create a series of poems inspired by sites, spores, histories and seeds across Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria. Poems have been performed, shared on seed packs and 'planted' in the gardens.
