Spirit walks into the room
sits down beside me
nods
smiles as if smiles
have just been created
– all quark of heart where
teeth spark, celestial stars
slung between a galaxy
of lips –
says

thank you
for making a home
for me to live in

& then we hug
surge of love
that tugs me
back into my body

& i belong
